Another Circle

Bubbling forth from deep within,
the Earth gives up its blood,
it eats at rock, the Earth itself,
reducing down to mud.

Once free it forms in pools so rich,
Life it can sustain,
cool and clear it nourishes,
all that it contains.

Combining now and flowing free,
it's journey has begun,
the tiny stream starts creeping,
babbling its sense of fun.

Others join to share its mirth,
it's potency deliver,
growing wider, racing faster,
the stream becomes a river.

The sun shines down and heats the pool
of life with naught to gain,
evaporating some so that,
it might return as rain.

Seeping through the sodden earth,
descending deep within,
the Earths blood starts to gather,
and bubble up again.
