I know what I'm seeing I cant comprehend
I feel that my life here has just reached its end
My family have gathered here close by my bed
A feeling of lightness has entered my head
Their voices are fading, drift slowly away
A bright light is shinning to show me the way
My fears have subsided I feel so at ease
Someone stands beside me, my soul to appease
Come with me, it's over, so softly they speak
And gently I feel a sweet kiss on my cheek
Reluctantly standing I walk t'wards the light
I give myself over, I feel that it's right
I look back and see that my children are weeping
Be with them dear God for it's my soul your keeping
No sorrow, no pain do I carry with me
Just a feeling of peace from the light that I see
I know in my life I had given my best
And now I am going, my soul for to rest
